My name is Julia and I am a Swiss student at the Kantonsschule Sargans. I am 16 years old, living in a small village somewhere in Switzerland. In my spare time I love to read, dance and spend time with my family and friends. Very soon I will be going to England for my four-week language stay in Cambridge. I am looking forward to meeting new people, making new friends, getting to know a whole new culture and, not to forget, to deepening my language skills. On this blog, I want to record my experiences so I can share them with my family, friends and teachers but most importantly, so I don’t forget them.

Cambridge

Cambridge is a university city in the East of England. There are about 124’000 inhabitants of which 24’000 are students. Cambridge is a famous centre of academia and learning. Many famous personalities, whose work was revolutionary, such as Charles Darwin or Stephen Hawking have studied at the university of Cambridge. It is not only known for its university but also for the beauty of the city. Stunning architecture, the river cam, the parks and its proximity to other famous UK sites make Cambridge the place to be!
